We Can Solve It is the campaign I was talking about for global warming. Finally saw the ad (twice tonight), went to the website and found this spot, along with a lot of information.
Turns out they do have solutions. Most of their emphasis is on pushing government officials to take action, but what's great is that they not only target officials with a global treaty petition, but also the press to engage in more environmental conversation and lenders to consider climate impact when funding new coal plants.
They also go into explanations for renewable energy and enhanced energy efficiency.
In addition to the petitions, what peaked my interest was the list of actions to minimize your own impact. Find it here.
So when you check out the site, and you should if you have some time, be sure to read a few of the success stories. They are really cool. And more than that, it's uplifting to hear about normal people that wanted a change and made it. :)
